Lots of people love brownies but, if you’re on a diet, many think they’re a no-go.
But that’s all about to change thanks to a simple recipe. Viral foodie @ketorecipes recently shared how to make healthy brownies on TikTok, and people are absolutely loving it.
For those who have a sweet tooth, they’re the perfect treats to make while also aiding your weight loss journey too. That sounds like a win-win to us.
As National Brownie Day takes place on December 8, it seems like a great time to get baking. It’s even better that you can learn to make them good for your health too.

In the clip, @ketorecipes said: “You wouldn’t believe the two secret ingredients in these homemade, healthier chocolate brownies. I’m using not one but two questionable ingredients here, but I promise these come out incredibly moist and super decadent.
“They’re only 135 calories a square. All you have to do is roast a butternut squash in the oven, process it with almond flour, cottage cheese, egg, cacao powder, monk fruit sweetener and baking powder in a small food processor.
“Bake it in the oven for 45 minutes. You can eat them as it is or topped with sugar free melted chocolate chips. Enjoy.”
The recipe tutorial has been liked more than 3,000 times since it was shared, and people were quick to comment too. Many said they were going to give the brownies a whirl.

Ingredients

1 small butternut squash

120g almond flour

120g cottage cheese

60g cacao powder

2 large eggs

6 tablespoons powdered monk fruit

1 tablespoon baking powder

Splash of vanilla extract
Method

Peel the butternut squash and remove the seeds. Cut it into chunks, and roast in the oven for 50 minutes at 400°F/200°C/Gas Mark 6.

Let it cool slightly then add it to the food processor with the other ingredients and mix well. Combine until smooth and there are no lumps.

Line a baking tray with parchment paper, and fill it up with the mixture. Add chocolate chips if you wish.

Bake for 45-50 minutes at 400°F/200°C/Gas Mark 6. Once cooked, let it cool completely before eating.
