Wine connoisseur and internet sensation Tom Gilbey popped the corks on three budget bottles of fizz this week and one budget supermarket offering came out as the clear winner.
With almost 100,000 followers on TikTok, Tom regularly shares candid reviews of supermarket wines, some of which he enjoys a little more than you would expect him to. In a recent video review, the bespectacled wine enthusiast gives an excited nod of approval to a an affordable favourite from Aldi.

In an effort to find the Best fizz for under £13, the vino lover announced: “I got let out today with 13 quid and I have got a beautiful baby from South Africa, a Cremant from France and a Prosecco.”
Unimpressed with his first tasting from the bottle of Prosecco, Tom swiftly moves on to the Aldi Cremant. He said: “In with the crema from Jura. This is so zippy. It reminds me of being in the mountains.”

Having enjoyed a sizable swig from his posh party wine glass, he raises a smile and says: “Hundred percent chardonnay. Absolute banger.”
While the last tipple to tickle his taste buds is the South African wine, the expert is resolute in his choice of favourite.
He reiterates: “This one is an absolute banger. Crémant Du Jura. So my shout for Christmas go to Crémant.”
