Escape to the Country star Briony May Williams was left slightly emotional during Tuesday’s show. The BBC star was back in Pembrokeshire where were caught up with Jan, who was househunting back in 2023.
Fast forward one year later, and Jan enjoyed her new home, the second property she was shown during her search. Reuniting once again, Jan and Briony were sitting in her new garden, overlooking the idyllic countryside.
The BBC star wanted to find out more about how life has been for Jan since making the move. She confessed: “When I left my old house, I thought I’d be quite upset, having been born there and bringing my own children up there.
“I thought I’d be quite emotional, but I didn’t look back! I was like, ‘Right, let’s go’. I feel really at home.”

The buyer revealed she’s felt at home in her new property from the first day she moved in as she complimented the people surrounding her.
She added: “The neighbours have helped you know, the groups I’ve joined have helped because they’re so welcoming!
“I know so many more people here, I did in a couple of weeks, more than I knew in my old neighbourhood even though I’d lived there all my life.”

Briony told Jan she looked comfortable and happy in her new home, to which the buyer agreed before confessing she felt slightly guilty.
She replied: “I feel happy, because sometimes I start feeling guilty. Should I really be this happy?” Laughing, the BBC host told Jan she deserves the move.
Jan replied: “Do I deserve this? You know, I must have been good in another life!” Before the property star left Jan to enjoy her new home, the former househunter had some words of advice to those thinking about moving.

She said: “I’d say go for it. You know, what’s the worst that can happen?” Asking if she missed her old location, Jan confessed she didn’t aside from her friends and seeing her family.
However, she told Briony that where she is now isn’t a million miles away from those close to her should they wish to visit. Although it was Briony herself that Jan wanted to thank, admitting her life has changed for the better.
It seemed as though her words impacted the Escape to the Country star who started welling up. She replied: “Good for you Jan! I’m delighted, it gives me so much joy to be back here and seeing you just shining. Oh don’t, you’re going to get me all…I’m going to get emotional now!”
