The Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k and 2k run is set to return this spring.
On May 11, runners will have the opportunity to take part in one of South Wales’ most scenic running events.
The 10k route starts and finishes on Crescent Road, winding through Caerphilly town with Caerphilly Castle as a backdrop.
The mostly flat course, which features gentle inclines, is suitable to runners of all abilities.
Along the way, participants will pass iconic landmarks such as the Tommy Cooper statue, the giant cheese sculpture, and the medieval castle.
Last year, elite athlete Dewi Griffiths broke his own course record, completing the 10km in 29 minutes and 12 seconds.
The 2024 race saw runners from across the UK and beyond come together to make it the biggest event to date.
Councillor Chris Morgan, cabinet member for leisure at Caerphilly County Borough Council, said: “The Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k and 2k run are true highlights of our events calendar.
“They not only showcase the beauty of Caerphilly but also encourage more people to get involved in physical activity.
“We look forward to welcoming runners of all abilities to join us in 2025 for what promises to be another incredible event.”
Organisers said details about race packs, road closures, and other operational updates will be shared closer to the event date.
They added: “Don’t miss out on this fantastic event – secure your place today and be part of the excitement.”
