The Pembrokeshire branch of the Federation of Master Builders is helping a local charity build for success with a massive donation.
The Pembrokeshire branch of the federation has raised £3,000 for Adam’s Bucketful of Hope.
The local cancer charity supported federation member Rick Naylor to the end of his life.
Nick was a well-known as a local musician who performed with his wife Sherri. His family have fundraised for Adam’s Bucketful of Hope since his death.
“His relatives stepped forward to help us in our monster quest to take on Foley House and mentioned this quest to the federation whom he belongs to,” said the charity’s Chris Evan- Thomas.
“They [the federation] have been taken with this bunch of nutcase grannies, following the support we give on sad journeys and the bonkers task we are taking on – and have taken us to their hearts.”
The Pembrokeshire branch of the federation held a fundraiser was held at the Giltar Hotel, Tenby.
Members of Adam’s Bucketful of Hope were invited as guests of the Federation of Master Builders. The Pembrokeshire branch has also offered advice when the charity eventually begins building work renovating listed building, Foley House in Haverfordwest which will become the new cancer support centre.
Chris thanked the builders for both their important and gratefully received financial support and offer of future help in kind.
“We are really excited at all the expertise that has been promised as we endeavour to take on this prestigious and difficult renovation,” said Chris.
“Foley House is the ideal building for a Holistic Health Centre for Pembrokeshire offering more support for all life-limiting conditions in the beautiful surroundings of a Georgian House.”
