Calls for Government action following Farage’s grooming scandal claim

Nigel Farage says people are angry that there has been no full public inquiry into the grooming scandal.

There was a full public inquiry, which was reported in 2022.

The inquiry was set up in 2014 by then-Home Secretary Theresa May, and Alexis Jay, who conducted the inquiry into Rotherham, was appointed Chairwoman in 2016.

Jay made 20 recommendations in her report published in 2022.

The last government implemented none of those.

Alexis Jay now said another inquiry would be a waste of money because her inquiry covered all questions asked.

Labour needs to act on the last inquiry and not sit on it like the former Tory government.
