Calls to help find Ukranian rescue dog spotted in south east London

A Sevenoaks couple are calling on the public to help them find their Ukrainian rescue dog which has been missing for nearly two months.

Ebony ran off during her daily week more than nine weeks ago.

Her owners Andrew and Julie Hill told the News Shopper that there had been “possible sightings” in the Abbeywood area on Monday (December 16).

Andrew told the South London Press: “We had her for just 10 days.

“She pulled back on the lead which came out of my hand and ran off.

“She’s since got rid of lead, harness and collar.”

Andrew and Julie say that the sightings of her range from north west Kent to south east London.

He said: “We were unable to entice her into a food trap and she gave us the slip.

“We’ve had a sighting in Woolwich.

“Our concern is that she will go further into or across London.”

After the sighting, Andrew travelled to Abbey Wood and found Ebony hiding under a camper van.

However, the dog ran away as she is currently in “survival mode” and will run away if she is approached.

Posters have been printed in the hope of finding Ebony.

The couple are working with an experienced missing dog tracking team called Missing Animals Support and Advice who have been helping them from the first week Ebony went missing.

Mr Hill added: “We only want sightings, she is not to be followed, chased or grabbed as she is lightning quick and will run, possibly into danger.”

A statement on a post by the Ebony Missing – Sevenoaks TN14 Facebook page posted on Tuesday (December 17) states: “No confirmed sightings of Ebony in the last few days.

“Please print a few posters and put them up in your local area if you live in North West Kent or South East London.

“This will make a huge difference in helping to bring Ebony home

“Message Ebony’s page if you need a pdf copy of the poster.

“Please do not approach or chase Ebony if you see her.

“Call the numbers on her poster to report your sighting.”
