Care home of the year winners say award is recognition of their hard work

A NURSING home in Pontypool was delighted to win a prize at a health and care award ceremony.

Ty Ceirios nursing home won the award for the Care Home of the year, sponsored by the University of South Wales at the South Wales Health and Care Awards 2024 were held on Wednesday December 4, 2024.

The awards were held at Rodney Parade in Newport.

Manager, Tina Kotecha said: “I can’t even believe it. Our team works so hard to provide the best possible care to the people who are at our nursing home.

“The award is a lovely recognition of all the work the team does.”

Ms Kotecha wanted to thank the whole team that were there at the awards ceremony, including Caria Thomas, Emma Evans, Elizabeth Kiernan, Kirsty Cooke-Jones, Ammanda Harris-Evans, Lewis Mills, Macie Gibbs and Suzanne Williams.

Ty Ceirios Nursing Home was one of the winners of the fifteen categories that were announced on the night.
