AFTER a week of continual snow, ice and rain, it looks like there could finally be some respite from the adverse weather with the weekend set to stay reasonably dry.
However, it is not all good news, with the current cold snap set to continue over the weekend period with some minor possibilities of some patchy rain in some areas of Gwent on Saturday.
The Met Office is predicting freezing temperatures throughout the weekend.
Temperatures are set to be well into the negative figures into the weekend, with the minimum temperature for Saturday set at negative two, and the maximum two degrees.
Sunday, despite promising some sunnier spells, isn’t looking much warmer after freezing fog will have appeared overnight.
Temperatures will range from zero to four degrees, so it could well be the optimum time to get out the big coats, hats, gloves and scarf if you haven’t already.
