‘Dangerous’ BBC Traitors contestant that could be recruited tonight in big twist

We’re only three episodes in and we’ve already seen plenty of lies, manipulation and secrets on this year’s series of The Traitors and it could be about to go up a notch.

The first episode alone saw three contestants booted off the show before they even had the chance to enter the iconic castle, while Friday’s episode ended on a cliff-hanger with a masked person approaching the location on a horse drawn carriage that said ‘Rail replacement’ on it.

It’s been speculated that the three ex-contestants, Alexander, Fozia and Jack are about to return to the game and be given another chance to win the cash prize. Ahead of Wednesday night’s episode (January 8) on BBC One, body language expert Judi James has previewed what could be about to happen, speculating that a surprising new Traitor could be crowned.

Speaking on behalf of Paddy Power Games, she predicted: “Presumably at least two of the characters that hopped off the train to save the prize money are making their return to the game, which could see Minah and Linda being asked to recruit one as a Traitor.”

Explaining which former star should be chosen, Judi expressed: “If they’re thinking with their heads this should be ex-diplomat Alexander.

“His body language suggested a capacity for calm, confident, logical thinking plus a natural capacity to lead. He could be a danger to them as a Faithful, but as a Traitor that calm logic would be exactly what they need right now.”

“Fozia might be the emotion-led choice to embrace into their group, but her openly dominant and attention-attracting behaviours on the train could mean they have another less-controllable high performer on their hands, like Armani.”

The first episode saw host Claudia Winkleman choose Armani, Miah and Linda as the new Traitors. However, Friday’s episode saw Armani rumbled and being shown the door after receiving the most votes during the roundtable.

Armani was shocked to see fellow Traitor Minah turn against her as well as her own sister Maia sharing her suspicions.

The night before Armani had told Minah and Linda that they needed to up their game as they weren’t doing enough. But in a brutal twist, Minah revealed in her confessional that Armani was doing too much and she had become a liability for the Traitors.

Fans at home flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter to share their opinions as one said: “Minah is the cutthroat traitor I’ve wanted! #TheTraitorsUK.”

Another added: “I bet Armani wishes she hadn’t told Minah to be more assertive now. #TheTraitors #TheTraitorsUK.”

The Traitors continues tonight at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
