Drivers warned as key Dartford Crossing bridge to close for three weekends

Works are set to take place on the Dartford Crossing for the next three weekends.

The QEII Bridge will be closed for the next three Saturdays of January.

The closure is due to essential maintenance that needs to be carried out.

January 11:

The QEII Bridge will be closed from 10pm to 5am.

January 18:

The QEII Bridge will be closed from 10pm to 5am.

January 25:

The QEII Bridge will be closed from 10pm to 5am.

Southbound traffic will be diverted through the east tunnel to maintain travel in both directions.

The Dartford Crossing, previously known as the Dartford Tunnel until 1991, is a major road crossing over the River Thames in England.

It connects Dartford in Kent (south) to Thurrock in Essex (north) via the A282 road.
