THREE people have been charged with drug offences following a warrant at an address on Sunday.
Officers carried out a warrant at an address on Malpas Road, Newport, on Sunday 8 December, and recovered a quantity of cannabis and cash.
Police arrested a 33-year-old man, from Cwmbran, and a 27-year-old woman, from Newport, on suspicion of being concerned in the production of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis, possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis, and acquiring/using/possessing criminal property.
Officers then searched other addresses and arrested a 31-year-old man, from Newport, on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis, being concerned in the production of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis, and acquiring/using/possessing criminal property.
All three were charged with these offences and appeared before Newport Magistrates’ Court on Monday 9 December.
Both men were remanded into custody, while the woman was released on bail.
All three are due to re-appear before Newport Magistrates’ Court on Monday 6 January 2025.
