Firm named fastest-growing international company in Wales

An aviation asset specialist has been named the fastest-growing international firm in Wales.

AerFin, which buys, sells, leases, and repairs aircraft, engines, and parts, received the accolade at the Fast Growth 50 awards. It will be moving to a new base in Newport in 2025.

The company, which has a global customer base of more than 600 across six continents, was recognised for its ‘hard work and dedication’ and its ‘unwavering commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to the aviation industry.’

AerFin’s growth is driven by its focus on helping airlines, lessors, and maintenance, repair, and MROs access cost-effective and environmentally responsible solutions.

By extending the operational life of aircraft parts, the company maximises value for its customers and contributes to a more sustainable future for aviation.

Simon Goodson, AerFin CEO, said: “This recognition reflects the expertise and passion of our incredible team.

“At AerFin, we’re dedicated to delivering smarter, more sustainable solutions that empower our customers and drive positive change in the aviation industry.”

Recent milestones for AerFin include entering the Japanese investor market for the first time, earning Great Place to Work certification, and unveiling a new brand.

In January, AerFin will move to a state-of-the-art, 116,000 sq ft global headquarters in Newport.

This move follows the successful establishment of new facilities in Miami, Singapore, and Dublin.

The Fast Growth 50 awards celebrate businesses making a significant impact across the UK.

By identifying the 50 fastest-growing companies in seven regions, including Wales, the awards highlight the role of these firms as key drivers of economic growth and innovation.

AerFin’s recognition highlights its ongoing leadership on a national and global stage.
