Here are some of the amazing displays you have sent in:

Tredegar

Christmas light displays outside homes across Wales

One house in Tredegar has gone above and beyond this year for the first time, decorating their house with traditional Christmas lights. As the only house that is decorated, Scott Morris and his wife light up their street in Tredegar with their display.

The couple set up the display in October as they were expecting their now 6-week-old baby, but began buying their decorations at the beginning of the year. People have travelled from across south Wales to see the display with visitors from New Zealand coming to see it.

Scott decided that not just to use his lights to bring joy to passers by but also to raise money for the Welsh Air Ambulance, so far raising over £500. For more information about the fundraiser visit the Facebook page here and the fundraiser page here.

One house in Cardiff has created a snowy winter wonderland in their front garden, with lights and inflatables attracting people from all over. Leanne Furnish and her husband have been decorating the front of their house each Christmas for eight years and regularly get asked by people in the community when they will be decorating, hoping to catch a glimpse.

This year the couple bought five new inflatables for their display, which is turning out to be an expensive hobby. Leanne said: “It can be a expensive hobby but it’s also exciting to look online and see the different shapes and figures and characters you can buy. We have cars pull up outside and have children walk into the garden for photos which just makes us smile.”

Abercwmboi

A 16ft Grinch stands tall outside this home in Abercwmboi as well as a collection of other inflatable figures. Not only can you look at the display but you can hear Christmas music being played and feel like you’re in the north pole with snow falling (from a snow machine).

The owners of the house put up the display each year to see the smiles on children’s faces as they walk past their home. Little ones can also post their letters to Santa in the magical post box outside the home.

Caerphilly

David and Debra Conway have decorated the outside of their home in Caerphilly this year for the second time. After having over 500 people attend their massive Halloween display, the couple spent six weeks decorating their home for Christmas.

Unlike many houses, the Conway’s wanted to handmake as many decorations as they could with their children instead of buying them. Together they constructed the gingerbread house, gingerbread people and the lollipops and sweets. The family are using their display to raise money for their local school, Pengam Primary School.
