A London construction worker has won a £145,000 supercar after entering a competition for just 69p.
Sorin Calistru, from Greenwich, was at work when BOTB presenter Christian Williams surprised him with the news that he had won the Lamborghini Huracan in the weekly Special Edition Competition.
The luxury car was parked nearby for the grand reveal.
Mr Calistru said: “This is perfect.
“I am so happy.”
Despite his admiration for the Lamborghini Huracan, Mr Calistru plans to take the cash alternative and share his good fortune with his brother.
He said: “I’ll use the money to buy a house.”
He plans to split the cash prize 50/50 with his brother, who encouraged him to enter the competition.
Christian Williams said: “Sorin’s brother persuaded him to give BOTB a try, and it’s certainly paid off.
“It’s amazing to see someone like Sorin turn such a small entry fee into a life-changing amount of money.
“We’re thrilled he’s able to use his winnings to make such a significant difference for himself and his family.”
BOTB, a leading car competitions company, hands over the keys to a dream car each week as well as a lifestyle prize.
It also offers people the chance to win a holiday, cash, tech, cars, and more in its Instant Wins Competition.
Founded by William Hindmarch in 1999, BOTB has given away £81 million worth of cars so far.
