A brawl reportedly broke out between a group of people near Erith Riverside Shopping Centre.
Police were called to Pier Road and Cross Street on Monday (January 13) at 4.30pm after reports of the fight.
According to an eyewitness, one of the people involved had a knife on them.
When officers arrived at the scene, the crowd began to disperse and no injuries were reported.
An investigation is now ongoing to determine what happened during this time.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 4.30pm on Monday (January 13) to reports of a fight involving a number of people in the vicinity of Pier Road and Cross Street, Erith.
“A witness reported one of those involved was in possession of a knife.
