It’s Christmastime and there’s no need to be afraid… of having as many desserts as you want.
The Christmas season is the time for indulgence, and The Little Dessert Shop in Epsom delivers the kind of festive experience you can’t help but savour.
On a chilly evening, my friend and I popped in to try their special Christmas menu, and it turned out to be the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm, cosy atmosphere and an inviting display of decadent desserts.
We couldn’t wait to dig into what was on offer.
Our first stop was the Mince Pie Brownie, a dessert that promised rich American brownie goodness infused with classic mince pie flavours.

And it absolutely delivered.
The brownie itself was dense and indulgent, with a deep chocolate base that complemented the sultanas and spice-infused mince pie filling.
The flavours of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves were wonderfully balanced, giving it that perfect festive touch.
But what took it to the next level was the topping: a generous swirl of cream, a rich chocolate ganache, and a sprinkle of festive green magic — which, I must admit, added a nice visual pop to the treat.

Next, we indulged in the Mince Pie Cookie Dough, which took the classic Christmas treat and transformed it into an indulgent, warm dessert.
This was no ordinary cookie dough; it was packed with sultanas and a comforting array of spices, just like a traditional mince pie.
The dough was gooey and sweet, with a texture that was soft yet slightly chewy in the best way.
To make it even more irresistible, the cookie dough was finished with a drizzle of salted caramel, adding a delightful touch of sweetness and a slight savoury contrast.
It was served warm, which made it even more comforting, and you had the choice of topping it with hot custard or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
We went for the ice cream, and the combination of the cold, creamy vanilla with the warm, spiced dough was a heavenly contrast that hit all the right notes.
As we made our way through these festive delights, we needed something to wash it all down.
That’s where the Churro Hot Chocolate came in.
This drink was everything you could want from a winter beverage: rich, luxurious, and full of cozy, spiced goodness.
The hot chocolate itself was thick and velvety, with a deep cocoa flavour that was enhanced by the sweet, spiced essence of churros.
But what truly made it special was the addition of blow-torched marshmallow fluff.
The marshmallow added an irresistible sweetness and a lovely light texture, making each sip feel like a warm, comforting hug.
It was the kind of drink that would instantly put you in a festive mood.
Finally, we wrapped up our indulgence with the Creme Brulé Latte.
This drink was an unexpected surprise and one of my favourite items of the day.
The rich, creamy latte was infused with the essence of creme brulee — a smooth, velvety flavor that carried the sweetness of caramelized sugar.
Topped with a light dusting of cinnamon, it finished with a warm, aromatic touch that made every sip feel luxurious.
It was the perfect blend of coffee and dessert, and the cinnamon added just the right amount of spice to round off the drink’s sweetness.
In conclusion, The Little Dessert Shop in Epsom offers a truly festive experience.
Every dessert we tried was thoughtfully crafted to evoke the flavours and comfort of Christmas.
The mince pie brownie and cookie dough were festive takes on classic treats, while the churro hot chocolate and creme brulee latte elevated the holiday experience to something special.
