A 25-YEAR-OLD woman’s window was shot at by some form of pellet gun in Coed Eva, Cwmbran.
Keiley Marie’s kitchen window was shot at on Christmas Day 2024.
“I’m a 25 year old woman that lives on her own and I’ve been petrified ever since,” said Ms Marie.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: “Initial thoughts were the damage may have been caused by something like a BB gun.”

A man was arrested in connection with the offence but was released.
Gwent Police said officers provided Ms Marie with advice but she said they were not helpful.
“They just don’t seem to be doing anything or taking it seriously,” said Ms Marie.
“I rang them at 3 o’clock on Boxing Day as that’s when I returned to my property, letting them know that someone had shot at my windows and they turned up 3 hours later. They’ve not offered any sort of support whilst the officer dealing with the case has his rest days.

“They’ve not offered cameras to be put up, [they] just told me to lock my doors.”
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: “We had a report of criminal damage, on 26th December, where a window of a house on Heol Y Groes, in the Coed Eva area of Cwmbran, was damaged.
“The damage happened sometime between 5pm on 23 December and 2.30pm on 26 December.

“Officers attended and spoke to the caller, carried out enquiries and gave advice.
“One man, who was initially arrested on suspicions of causing criminal damage, has been released with no further action.
“CCTV has been examined and house to house enquiries have been carried out, the cause of the damage has not yet been confirmed.

The incident happened before a man claimed his car was shot at while driving in Cwmbran.
The man, Marc Jelly, a father said that he, along with his baby and young son, were shot at by a pellet gun during a road rage incident while he was driving in Cwmbran.
