A town full of historic properties and a deer park has been named one of the best places to live in the UK.
Sevenoaks, a town in Kent, has been named as one of the happiest places to live by Rightmove.
The town was crowned as the UK’s seventh happiest place to live, along with Wandsworth and Richmond in South London.

It was the only town in Kent to be named in the list and the only town in the south east of England.

Sevenoaks, situated within the county often referred to as the “Garden of England”, offers plenty of natural beauty and open landscapes.
Among them is Knole Park, a 1,000-acre 15th century deer park where you can walk around fields and woodland with roaming deer, and Riverhill Himalayan Gardens, which offers 12 acres of landscaped Himalayan gardens to explore.

Rightmove’s analysis found that feeling proud to live in an area was the biggest driver of overall satisfaction, with a home and community out of the factors it looked at, while living near to family and friends was the smallest driver.
Being just a 25-minute train ride from London Bridge and a 30-minute train ride from Bromley, Sevenoaks offers convenient travel links to the capital for anyone looking for a piece of the countryside that doesn’t stray too far from the city.
