Here are the latest planning applications received by Monmouthshire County Council:

Church Street

In Monmouth, Monmouth Town Council has applied for listed building consent to install a welcome archway across the entrances to Church Street, replace and install catenary wires on a number of listed buildings in Church Street, install a ‘canopy of lights’ along the length of Church Street, install finger-point signs on an existing bracket to direct to White Swan Court, and install a freestanding map panel at the entrance to Church Street.

HMP Prescoed

The Ministry of Justice has submitted three separate applications to Llanbadoc and Usk Community Council for the discharge of various conditions relating to planning at HMP Prescoed, including a biodiversity enhancement plan, a construction environmental management plan, and a bat maintenance and management plan.

New office/workshop

In Trellech, Adrian Banford has submitted a plan to erect a scaffolding platform over an existing foul sewer plant and to build a new office/workshop along with garden sheds and a storage building.

Barns plans

In Grosmont, Flutterby Ltd has applied for the discharge of conditions relating to various structural details for three barns at Old Court Farm, including windows, doors, and mezzanine specifics.

Bungalow extension

Robert and Emma Skipp have also applied to extend their existing bungalow at Avoca, Warrage Road, Raglan, with two single-storey extensions to each side.

Dwelling plans

Neil Upadhyay, of Oaklands, Parc Road, Llangybi, has submitted a non-material amendment application to change a proposed garage description to a gym and omit a new drive from the proposal.

Garden shed

In Llandogo, Monmouthshire, Dr Robert Colter has submitted a householder application to erect a garden shed in his garden at Rosedale, A466 Catchmays Court to Bigsweir Bridge.

Workshop

In Chepstow, Monmouthshire, Katherine Matthews has submitted a non-material amendment application to build a workshop from brick, matching the existing brickwork detail on her property instead of cladding it with wood.

Conservatory replacement

In Devauden, Grant Powell has applied for a non-material amendment to replace a large conservatory with a more modest pergola/canopy at Rockfast, Old Quarry Road, Star Hill.

The initial conservatory, which would have constructed using structural glass and a free-form roof with extended eaves was deemed This too visually intrusive and would be too expensive.

Garage replacement

In Mounton, Monmouthshire, Timothy Rees has submitted a householder application for a proposed ancillary building to replace an existing garage and storage building at Bigwood, Bayfield Road.

Change to track

Mitchel Troy Community Council has received an application from Mr and Mrs D Price for a non-material amendment to change an access track at Barn B, Lydart Farm, from two 1.2m wide tracks to a single 2.8m wide gravel track.

Window changes

Mark John, of Hollybush Cottage, Village Road, Mitchel Troy Common, is seeking permission to add a small window in the ‘green wall’ and make a window vertical instead of horizontal due to the location of the stairs.
