Lidl has confirmed it is still looking for a new location to relocate an existing store in a Pembrokeshire town.
Despite currently having a supermarket in Pembroke Dock, Lidl is planning to relocate the store in the same area.
Meanwhile, the German brand is progressing with plans to open another store in Tenby with timelines of completion yet to be confirmed.
Lidl has previously announced its expansion plans, consisting of over 1,100 stores across Great Britain in town centres, edge of town centres and retail parks.
Currently there are three stores in Pembrokeshire in Pembroke Dock, Haverfordwest and Milford Haven.
Furthermore, a total of 46 stores exists across south and mid Wales in cities such as Cardiff, Swansea and Newport.
Easy access, strong pedestrian presence and traffic flow are three factors Lidl are considering before opting to build new supermarkets.
Besides unit sizes containing between 18,000 and 26,500 square feet with over 100 dedicated parking spaces.
1.5 acres of space are targeted for standalone stores while four acres are wanted for mixed used schemes.
Lidl have proposed a competitive finder’s fee structure for new site introductions, comprising response within seven days, 1.5 percent for freehold properties, and 10 percent off year one rent for leaseholds.
