‘Lively’ pub in leafy Bromley village up for sale

An award-winning pub in one of Bromley’s suburban villages has hit the market.

Not to be mistaken with the Greyhound in Bromley South, The Greyhound in Keston on the outskirts of Bromley has been put up for sale.

The Greyhound was put up for sale for leasehold with an asking price of £95,000 by estate agents Sidney Phillips.

The pub has garnered a popular reputation over the years since first opening in the 19th century and was even named winner of Bromley’s CAMRA Pub of the Year in 2017.

The pub is well situated on the Greater London and Kent border within three miles of Bromley, with links to the busier town centre by bus, whilst having that quieter countryside feel for anyone looking to take on a hospitality business away from the city.

This “lively” drinking spot serves up classic pub fare and hosts a calendar of popular events, from live music and bingo to beer festivals and fishing trips, meaning that any would-be buyer can continue these popular events as well as extend them.

The pub’s interior features multiple seating areas as well as a bar, an office and kitchen, along with four upstairs bedrooms for any would-be owners.

The Greyhound, initially a Courage pub, is situated within a two-storey building along with a basement cellar for storage.

Outside, the pub offers a large garden, with patio and seating area for customers to sit and have a drink in during warmer weather, as well as a play area for the children.
