Stars from Liverpool FC have paid a visit to a young Wrexham fan who has a rare form of cancer.
Archie White, a lifelong supporter of the Red Dragons, was recently diagnosed with myeloid sarcoma – a condition that affects less than one in a million children.
The 12-year-old from Wrexham is currently undergoing treatment at Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool.

The Premier League team visited the hospital yesterday to spend time with patients and their families, and Archie was one of those who they stopped to talk to.
However, the Liverpool players quickly realised they stood little chance of switching the youngster’s allegiances after spotting his room was decked out in Wrexham merchandise.
A video shared by the current Premier League leaders on X, formerly Twitter, shows stars Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota and Mo Salah walking into Archie’s room.
Jones can be heard joking: “We’ve got a big job on our hands of trying to make you a fan of us, haven’t we?”
Archie later says: “I was nervous, but had a very, very good time. I enjoyed it.”
He revealed Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk was his favourite visitor after he spent time on Snapchat speaking to Archie’s friends.
The club’s post was accompanied by the caption: “A great flag bearer for @Wrexham_AFC, you should be proud.” The League One club later replied, saying: “We’re all behind you, Archie!”
Writing on the social media platform, Archie’s mum Sarah said he had an amazing time with the Liverpool players.
She said: “I can’t thank Alder Hey enough for going out their way to make it special for Archie – he had great banter with them and proudly told them who he supported!”
Sarah said Van Dijk also confirmed he is a big fan of the hit ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary, which charts the club’s rise under owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Young Wrexham fan Archie White shared an unexpected call with Rob McElhenney
Archie, who has been a Wrexham season ticket holder since he was just a baby, has received an outpouring of support from the club since his diagnosis.
Last month, he received an unexpected hospital visit from star striker Ollie Palmer, who said he was moved by the youngster’s story.
The former AFC Wimbledon man spent hours at Archie’s bedside, playing video games and gifting him a signed shirt.
Palmer even called McElhenney to help lift his spirits, with the pair having a chat via video.
Sarah said he loved the experience after the ‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’ creator invited the family to watch a game with him when he’s next in town.
