Luke Littler has been shortlisted for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.

The 17-year-old darting sensation first rose to fame ahead of the WDC a year ago. He had been impressing during qualifying, and his journey to the final of the worlds was closely followed by fans and the media alike.

After being named to feature in 2024’s Premier League Darts competition, Littler’s abilities were truly recognised at the top level, with the teenager going on to win it. Since then he has secured multiple Masters titles, further adding to his burgeoning CV.

It’s been a whirlwind year for the teenager. Here’s everything you need to know about the rising star in the wake of his nomination for SPOTY.

Littler’s net worth

Littler has won two major PDC titles so far – the 2024 Premier League and 2024 World Series. On top of the various Masters titles, the teenager has earned a considerable amount of prize money over the course of the past 12 months.

For example, in the WDC last year, he earned £200,000. If he had finished first instead of second, he would have bagged £500,000, but that went to Luke Humphries instead.

So, given all the tournaments he has competed in this year, what’s his net worth?

As of October 2024, talkSPORT estimate that Littler’s net worth is just over £1million. If he wins the WDC this year, he could boost his net worth by £500,000. With sponsorships and other avenues of cashflow, it’s likely he has earned far more than £1million.

In the most recent event – the Players Championship – Littler banked a further £60,000 to his net worth after finishing in second place to Humphries.

Littler’s personal life

When he achieved nationwide fame in late 2023, Littler’s 21-year-old girlfriend Eloise gained lots of attention from fans, who were keen to know about the young man’s partner.

The teenager broke up with Eloise in July this year, with sources saying that Eloise was surprised and it “came out of the blue”. Littler was forced to put out a plea to fans who had been sending hateful messages towards Eloise. He wrote: “Everyone needs to stop sending hate to Eloise saying it’s her fault.”

He explained that it was his decision to break it off, but enforced the idea that the couple needed to be given time. The pair had met right before Littler shot to fame last year, 10 months before their shock split.

It seems that Littler has now moved on, with a live stream gaffe suggesting that he has found a new flame. Doing a gaming stream with popular YouTuber and streamer ‘Angry Ginge’, a female voice could be heard off-camera on Littler’s side: “I’m gonna try and get some sleep because I am so tired.”

Littler’s new house

Littler recently moved in with his family to a £6,000-per-month, five-bedroom house on Millionaire’s Row in Warrington.

The family home was originally a modest £180,000 two-bed property, but now they will be living the high life in their new pad, thanks to Littler’s success. The home boasts an indoor pool, large garden, home cinema and six bathrooms. The rent also covers pool maintenance and a gardener, according to The Mirror.

The home has been described as “finished to an uncompromising standard, with intelligent design, impressive technology, top of the range fixtures and fittings and superb leisure facilities.

“Carefully and cleverly redesigned to optimise and enhance space, creating a perfect balance of luxury finish and ease of living.”
