A key route in a Pembrokeshire town will temporarily close while roadworks are carried out for an improvement scheme.
The B4313 from Redstone Cross to Bethesda in Narberth will shut for approximately two months and comes into effect from Friday, February 21.
Pembrokeshire County Council have made the order so that works relating to the Trunk Toad A40 Improvement Scheme can be carried out.

(Image: Google Street View) Narberth Town Council posted on Facebook: Notice is hereby given that Pembrokeshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
“The proposed Order is necessary so that tie in works associated with the Trunk Road A40 Improvement scheme can be carried out.
“The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic other than exempted vehicles from proceeding along that section of Class II (B4313) Redstone Cross to Bethesda Road, Narberth.
“This applies from its junction with the old Trunk Road A40 Haverfordwest to St Clears Road, north west to a point near the access to the property known as Broomley.”
The closure means locals must use an alternative route from the old A40 from Haverfordwest to St Clears Road.
This is before taking a new section of the carriageway, A478 from Penbelwin Roundabout to Cardigan Road, C3034 Clunderwen to Pen-y-Groes cross, and B4313 towards Redstone Road.
However, the order could remain valid for a maximum of 18 months if works are rescheduled or because of any other unforeseen circumstances.
