Man, 89, dies after being struck by car on one-way road in Crayford

A man has died after being struck by a car along a one-way road in Crayford.

The update comes after police were called to Roman Way shortly after 1pm on January 3.

Officers attended with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, where a man was found with injuries.

A stretch of the one-way road, which splits into three lanes on the approach to access Sainsbury’s, was cordoned off whilst the incident was dealt with.

The man was taken to a major trauma centre as priority, where he has since died.

It is believed that he was aged 89.

There have been no arrests at this stage and enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue.
