Meet the newest babies to call Gwent their new home

Charlie Joshua Muir was born on November 26 at the Grange University Hospital, weighing 7lb 10oz.

After being born via C-section, Charlie spent a week in the NICU.

He is now home with parents Georgia Fraser-Gray and Joshua Muir, and older siblings Oliver, five, and Harry, one, in Newport.

Gracie Mae Cording arrived on January 1 at the Grange University Hospital, weighing 8lb 1oz.

She is the first child of parents Georgia O’Callaghan and Aled Cording, from Blaenau Gwent.

Gracie was the seventh baby to be delivered on New Year’s Day at the Grange Hospital, Cwmbran, having been induced on New Year’s Eve.

Her parents expressed their joy, saying: “We are overwhelmed with the love and happiness our beautiful bundle of joy has brought to us.”

They also praised the hospital staff for their support, with a special mention for delivery midwife Rebecca Clements.

Rosie Mary Carne was born on December 6, 2024 at the Grange University Hospital, weighing 8lb 10oz.

She will join parents Annmarie and Michael Carne, and older sister Carys, six, at home in Newport.

Rosie’s birth came with a few surprises.

The day before her birth, it was discovered she was in a transverse position, and then she went breech just before being born.

Rosie was delivered via emergency C-section.
