A French rugby player who was 15 stone and 6ft tall at the age of 11 has gone viral on social media.
Enzo Coppin has picked up almost one million views in just seven day son TikTok, with footage of him as a youngster towering over and brushing aside his opponents playing rugby.
At 96 kilograms, Coppin was on the books at Clermont Auvergne’s underage team back in 2014. A French TV channel did a report on him at the time, showing footage of him in action for his team. That footage from 2015 has now resurfaced 10 years later and been watched nearly one million times.

You can watch the video below. Despite the video suggesting he was just nine, he was actually confirmed to be 11-years-old while weighing 96kg.
Below is a photo of Coppin standing next to Nick Abendanon and Zac Guildford, of Clermont at the time.
Coppin was asked in 2019 whether he wants to make a career out of rugby, and he explained that he was determined to become a professional.
“Without hesitation, I want to make a career in rugby,” said Coppin to France3. “I’ve been playing since I was four and a half years old! I’ve made so much effort and sacrifice that I can’t stop without trying to grab this chance to become a professional.
“Afterwards, it’s true that I don’t have a normal life like an average child, but it’s a choice. I want to continue my studies in sport, to become a sports coach for example, but that will depend a lot on my academic level.”
Unfortunately for Coppin, he hasn’t yet made it in professional rugby. Despite his size, the 21-year-old doesn’t play top level rugby anymore.
He was a youth player Clermont between 2014 and 2021, before moving on to Pro D2 side Montauban for one year in 2021. His last known club was Blagnac, who compete in the Nationale, which is the third tier of French rugby, but there is no information about him online since 2023.
