Radio producer Ioan Dyer, who was on the number 30 bus in the Rumney and St Mellons area of Cardiff on Sunday evening, shared pictures of the smashed window and the brick lying in the middle of the aisle. He said a passenger with a pushchair had been standing by the window moments before the brick came through.

“Someone could have been killed,” he said. “Thank you to the utter scumbag of a kid who threw a brick at a moving bus hitting one of the passengers in the leg, hope you’re proud of yourself. If an adult had been there when it came through the window it would have hit them in the head.”

The incident was reported to police who confirmed this was not the only incident they are investigating in the area. Cardiff Bus has been approached for a comment.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “We will not tolerate such criminal and anti-social behaviour which is risking the safety of passengers, bus drivers and other road users. We will be working with Cardiff Bus to identify those responsible and prevent further incidents.” Anyone with information that can help police should call South Wales Police on 101.
