Pembrokeshire schools closed in aftermath of Storm Darragh

Schools are closed across Pembrokeshire this morning (Monday, December 9) in the aftermath of structural damage and power outages caused by Storm Darragh.

The storm brought major disruption to many parts of the county and as a result many schools have been deemed unsafe to open while repairs are carried out.

The following schools across Pembrokeshire are closed this morning:

  • Broad Haven Primary School

  • Cleddau Reach VC Primary School

  • Ysgol Gymunedol Maenclochog

  • Ysgol Llanychllwydog

Pembrokeshire County Council’s responsive repair team risk assessed schools that had suffered in the storm and the council is working to get them back open as soon as possible.

Pembrokeshire County Council’s website stated earlier this morning that Puncheston and Brynconin Schools were closed.

However these schools have since reopened after power was restored
