A very popular Barry bar has announced its closure and their “next chapter” for 2025. Craft Republic, which currently calls Goodsheds in Barry their home have announced they would be closing this bar.

Taking to social media Craft Republic said they wanted customers to “hear the news from us first before the Barry rumour mill kicks in” as they explained that while they were closing at Goodsheds, they were moving to a new permanent location in the town. They said: “Here’s our news! It’s business as usual for now but Craft Republic is closing at the Goodsheds… but fear not because we’ve got a new permanent home in the Waterfront Development (by Asda… so not far).

We’re in the process of buying the unit we’re moving too and that in itself is not a quick process, so it’s still not a 100% done deal but we wanted you to hear the news from us first before the Barry rumour mill kicks in. We can’t wait to share updates and plans for the move with you. We’re incredibly excited for this next chapter in our beautiful new home. Cheers to Craft 2.0!”
