Roads closed by police in Wallington as vehicles recovered after crash

Police have closed two roads following a crash in Wallington.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called at 12.35pm this afternoon (January 9) with reports of a crash on Beddington Lane.

They were dispatched to the scene where it was confirmed there were no injuries sustained in the incident.

A police presence remains in Beddington Lane whilst the vehicles involved are removed.

A Met spokesperson said: “At 12:35hrs on Thursday, 9 January officers were called to a road traffic collision on Beddington Lane, Wallington.

“Beddington Lane and Greenland Way is temporarily closed as a result and officers remain on the scene while the vehicles are removed.

“No one was injured in the collision.”
