Row of garages broken into after summer’s spate of nearby anti-social behaviour

A ROW of garages have been broken into in New Inn.

Ian Bray rents two of the garages on the plot just off Ruth Road in New Inn, Torfaen.

Mr Bray was checking on his garages recently while walking his dog when he saw one of his garages had been broken into.

Nearby in Pontypool there has been an outbreak of anti-social behaviour.

Mr Bray said: “One (garage) was ok but the other one had been broken into and the door pushed inwards.

“My daughter’s car is in there but they didn’t touch anything and nothing taken. There were two other garages done the same way.”

Later on he “went down there and 2 other garages had been forced open.

“Five garages have been broken into so far,” said Mr Bray.

The Argus have contacted Gwent Police for comment.
