Sir Anthony Hopkins breaks silence after home destroyed in devastating LA wildfires

Welsh Hollywood actor Sir Anthony Hopkins has broken his silence after his Pacific Palisades home was destroyed in the LA wildfires. Pictures shared online reportedly showed the Port Talbot native’s home burned to the ground as a result of the wildfires.

The $6million house’s timber frame is gone, with a cement footprint and stairs among all that remains. In a poignant post following the fires, the actor has spoken about the “devastation”.

In a message shared on the social media platform Instagram, the actor said “the only thing we take with us is the love we give”. The full post read: “As we all struggle to heal from the devastation of these fires, it’s important we remember that the only thing we take with us is the love we give.”

The fires, which started on Tuesday, have destroyed the homes of a number of celebrities. You can check the full list here. Many of the city’s iconic landmarks are also under threat including the Capitol Records building, the TCL Chinese Theatre, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the Hollywood Bowl.
