A pedestrian has been killed after being hit by a lorry in Stratford on Monday afternoon.
The man, aged in his twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene in Carpenters Avenue at around 2pm.
The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.
The incident happened close to the junction with Stratford’s High Street.
Police are probing the circumstances around the collision, which saw paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance to the scene.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 14:00hrs on Monday, 13 January to reports of a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian in Carpenters Road, at the junction with High Street, E15.
“Officers, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance all attended the scene. The pedestrian, a man aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene. There has been no arrest and enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
