Strictly Come Dancing’s Pete Wicks made a heartbreaking confession about relationships amid his rumoured romance with Maura Higgins.
Pete, who was voted off Strictly yesterday, spoke to best pal Olivia Attwood on his Staying Relevant podcast.
The pair discussed each other’s relationships whilst taking a question from a listener, with ex-Love Islander Olivia saying: “Pete’s never had any problem getting the women, but also I feel you don’t keep them out of your own choice. I feel like you, for so long have not let anyone in, so it’s a you problem, sorry. It’s about whether you want to let somebody in or not.”

He then made the tragic six-word confession: “I don’t want to die alone.” Pete went on to say he was ready to ‘let someone in’ before Olivia made a cheeky reference to his age, saying: ”You should move fast, because you’ve probably only got a few years left.”

Meanwhile, speculation has been swirling in recent months that he has been dating former Love Islander, Maura with the pair having been spotted multiple times in public and even seen sharing a kiss. It wasn’t until Maura entered this years I’m A Celeb that the rumours were finally confirmed.
Maura recently confessed that she was “seeing someone” before going into the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle. While she didn’t mention his name, the 34-year-old alluded to their several outings together recently.
In a discussion with GK Barry about trying to keep her love life under wraps, she said: “What’s the point in getting them [the media] involved too soon, when you just don’t know where it’s gonna go, you know?”.
Admitting that that she ‘missed’ the former TOWIE star whilst on the ITV show, she also opened up about her true feelings towards Pete when speaking to Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary on This Morning on Friday (December 6). She said: “But let’s be real, I said it. Can’t remember saying it, but I said the words, ‘I miss him,’ and I do miss him. Like I miss all my friends and family.”
She even paid her new love interest a compliment as she said: “But no, he is the most supportive.
“Honestly, I didn’t know if he was still in Strictly, and I’m so proud of him; he’s proud of me, and yeah, I can’t wait to see him when I get back!”
