Here’s your round-up of all the latest Swansea City transfer news and gossip for Sunday, January 12.
Swansea weigh up Phillips move
Swansea City are reportedly weighing up a move for Barnsley midfielder Adam Phillips this month.
According to Football Insider, the Swans are one of several Championship clubs to have been impressed by the 26-year-old this season, with Preston North End also tipped to be among those keen.

The 26-year-old, who was once on the books of Liverpool, has been in impressive form for the South Yorkshire side, having netted eight goals for the club in 24 appearances in all competitions.
He has also provided five assists for the Reds, and has been a central part of their plans this campaign.
Phillips is entering the final 18 months of his current deal at Oakwell, and Barnsley are now seemingly preparing themselves for interest.
A central midfielder is believed to be among the areas Swansea are looking to strengthen this month, with Luke Cundle understood to be another option on the club’s list of possibilities in recent weeks, while Saudi midfielder Abdulmalik Al-Jaber is another player to have been linked.
Low misses cup clash
Joe Low sat out Wycombe Wanderers’ FA Cup third round win over Porstmouth on Saturday, amid ongoing interest from Swansea City.
The Swans have submitted a second bid for the centre-back and are expected to hold further discussions over a potential transfer this week as they look to boost their central defensive options.
Wales international Low has clearly emerged as a top target for the Swans in this window, and it’s understood the Swans are well placed in the race for his signature, despite interest from Plymouth and Preston North End.
Low hasn’t played any part in his side’s FA Cup campaign so far, so his absence against Pompey perhaps shouldn’t be considered all that unusual.
However, the club claimed the 22-year-old sat out the game due to illness, and his exclusion from the squad will do little to stem suggestions that he is heading towards the exit.

Williams expecting tough Saints challenge
Swansea City boss Luke Williams says he won’t be reading too much into Southampton’s torrid season in the Premier League as his side look to spring an upset at St Mary’s Stadium this afternoon.
The Saints are currently bottom of the Premier League with six points from 20 games, and recently appointed Croatian Ivan Juric to succeed former Swans boss Russell Martin.
“It’s very difficult to assess the approach of the new manager after so few games,” Williams said.
“But it is not difficult to assess the quality of the players, I don’t think there is any doubt about that.
“They will be looking to go out and perform, and I hope they will be facing a team who want to do the same.
“We will be picking a team that we think has the best chance of winning the game. Of course, we will factor in player workload and many other things.
“But we are not prioritising this less than other games. We are looking forward to it.
“We have had some very good performances later, it’s important we try and continue that.”
