The ‘deliberate tax defaulters’ in Bromley named and shamed

Several Bromley-based businesses and residents have been named and shamed on the deliberate tax defaulters list.

HM Revenue and Customers releases reports every three months that name and shame the businesses and individuals who have been caught filing incorrect tax reports across the country.

HMRC last released a new list in late November 2024.

Many are ordered to pay penalties for either deliberately filing errors in their tax returns or deliberately failing to comply with tax obligations.

Below are the Bromley tax defaulters named and shamed by the HMRC.

Nazim Uddin Ahmed, of 222 Hayes Lane, was fined £27,564.29 for failing to account for £50,116.90 in property income between April 6, 2013, and April 5, 2017.

Joinkas Limited, a joinery company located at 112 Kingsway in West Wickham, was fined £70,406.29 for failing to account for £105,874.12 in tax between April 6, 2021, and April 5, 2023.

The White Swan, situated at 335 Chipperfield Road in Orpington, was penalized £15,837.82 for failing to account for £28,156.14 in tax between January 1, 2019, and March 31, 2019.

Eko Food Market, located at 256 High Street in Orpington, received a fine of £154,920 after failing to account for that same amount of tax between April 6, 2018, and April 5, 2020.

Martyn Eric Heath, residing at 6 Brookside in Orpington, was fined £33,634.70 after £75,683.48 in rental income tax went unaccounted for between April 6, 2013, and April 5, 2021.
