Three cars involved in Newport city centre crash

POLICE were called to the scene of a crash between three cars on a main road in Newport on Thursday afternoon.

Officers attended alongside colleagues from the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service just after 4.30pm on Thursday, December 12.

The crash involved three cars, a silver MG, a black Toyota and a white Nissan.

No injuries were reported by Gwent Police.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We received a report of a road traffic collision on Malpas Road, Newport, at around 4.40pm on Thursday 12 December.

“Officers attended along with the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

“The collision involved three vehicles – a silver MG, a black Toyota and a white Nissan.”
