Here’s your round-up of all the latest Swansea City news for Monday, January 13.
Latest Low bid rejected
Swansea City’s pursuit of Joe Low has suffered another setback, with Wycombe Wanderers reportedly rejecting the club’s second bid for the Wales international.
That’s according to Football Insider, who claim Plymouth Argyle and Preston North End remain among the other sides taking an interest.

Low has emerged as a top target for the Swans this month, with the club desperate to strengthen their centre-back options, amid ongoing uncertainty around Harry Darling’s contract situation.
The club had already launched an initial bid for the 22-year-old a couple of weeks ago, believed to be in the region of £500k-£600k, and remain keen admirers of the defender, who has played every minute of Wycombe’s surprise charge for League One promotion this season.
Low did sit out the recent FA Cup clash with Portsmouth, which the club said was due to illness, and his future with the Chairboys looks increasingly uncertain.
He might not be the only exit this month, with reports elsewhere suggesting that boss Matt Bloomfield is in advanced talks to become Luton Town’s new boss.
Williams delighted to see Ginnelly back
Swansea City boss Luke Williams says Josh Ginnelly’s return to action is ‘huge’ for the club.
Ginnelly has been out of action since September 2023, when he ruptured an Achilles tendon during a win over Sheffield Wednesday, but made his long-awaited return to first-team action by coming off the bench during the latter stages of the FA Cup third-round defeat to Southampton.
It’s been a long way back for the former Hearts man, who said after the game: “I cannot explain how it felt to be back on the pitch.
“There are times you feel you have lost everything. There are more lows than highs in football, and when you are injured that’s multiplied by 10.
“You look back at the times when I couldn’t even shower, or go for a walk outside. It makes you grateful for the little things.”
Swans boss Williams added: “It’s huge [to see Ginnelly play again].
“At that point [on Sunday] the game was probably out of reach, so it was a really good opportunity to bring Josh on.
“He’s had such a long journey back to fitness and that was a huge milestone for him. He’s done great.”
Robbo slams ‘gutless’ Swans
Former Swansea City hero Andy Robinson has branded the defeat to Southampton as ‘gutless’ and says several players failed to stake their claim for a start ahead of the Saturday’s South Wales derby with Cardiff City..
Swansea went down 3-0 at the hands of the Saints, and never really looked like springing an upset on what was a desperately disappointing night at St Mary’s.
“I don’t like to use the word gutless, but it was a bit of a gutless, never-laid-a-glove-on-them type of performance, and that doesn’t sit well with me,” Robinson told Radio Wales Sport.
“The FA Cup is a special competition, and even Luke Williams said before the game [it is] romance for fans who come in their numbers – 300 or 400 Swans fans [travelled to Southampton].”
Robinson – who saw winger Josh Ginnelly’s 10 minutes in a first appearance for 16 months after injury as the “only saving grace” – singled out Swansea’s attacking players (Florian Bianchini, Ronald, Myles-Peart Harris and Eom Ji-Sung) for particular criticism.
“The front four were useless – they haven’t put themselves in the window to play against Cardiff,” he added.
“It’s food for thought for Luke Williams and players who have certainly done no justice in staking a claim for the derby game.”
