Tourists climb famous mountain in Wales – but what they find blows their minds

There is nothing quite like taking a trek up a mountain, especially in Wales.

After all, our home country is surrounded with gorgeous walking paths, stunning views and just pure loveliness. But one group of tourists recently visited Snowdonia National Park and were left stunned by what they found on their journey.

It turns out, when you venture for a walk in the area, you can find something secretly hidden in the hills. A video shared by ukhiddengems recently showed it off on TikTok, and it’s fair to say it looks stunning.

If you look hard enough, it turns out you’ll find an infinity pool, so you can take a swim while being surrounded by Wales’ natural beauty. That should take your adventure up a few notches!

In the clip shared, you see the visitors making the most of nature while having a dip in the pool. It looks completely idyllic, and the views surrounding them are stunning.

Dozens of people have viewed the video since it was shared, and people seemed to be impressed. The only snag was one did quesiton how anyone could go for a swim in January.

Even though some people think it’s a “secret pool”, it actually isn’t so much in Wales. After people began to discover it, many started heading there to take their Instagram-worthy pictures.

If you didn’t know, Snowdonia’s “infinity pool” was actually built by Nant Peris farmer Wyn Mostyn Jones back in 2016 as a £400,000 green energy project. In other words, it was never intended to be a tourist destination.

Since its construction, he’s actually been stunned at the number of people who’ve started to flock to his private land above the Llanberis Pass in Gwynedd to visit the hidden gem. His family has worked the land in the area since the 1940s.

Mr Jones previously told North Wales Live: “Although I wasn’t expecting this response, I can understand why so many flock here. It has fantastic views here – it’s so peaceful and tranquil, and understandably, a beautiful place to enjoy.”
