Town road closed as ‘dangerous structure’ dealt with in Storm Darragh aftermath

Fire crews have made safe a Pembrokeshire property’s roof which was damaged by Storm Darragh.

The incident took place at The Green, Tenby, where a roof panel had blown off a property and was hanging in a precarious position over a pavement and road.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Tenby and Haverfordwest responded to the ‘dangerous structure’ call at 11.59am on Monday December 9.

Haverfordwest Fire Station’s turntable ladder appliance was used to gain access to the property’s roof and to remove the roof sheeting.

The nearby road was closed while the incident was ongoing, and crews left the scene at 1.20pm.
