A woman has died in hospital after being involved in a crash in Cardiff Bay. The 79-year-old woman was involved in a single-vehicle collision on the afternoon of December 19.

A spokesperson for the force said: “A woman has died in hospital following a road traffic collision in Cardiff Bay. Police are investigating the circumstances and are appealing for witnesses to come forward. The single-vehicle collision happened at approximately 1.40pm on Thursday, December 19 on Dumballs Road, near the rear car park of Cardiff Bay Police Station.
“Following the collision, the 79-year-old female driver of the white Mini Cooper was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, where she died on Christmas Eve. Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101, quoting 2400418660.”
