A WOMAN has described the moment she was “knocked out cold” by an unknown attacker on a night out.
Chloe Waddon, 25, from Hengoed, was on a night out with family at the Caerphilly Social Club on Castle Street on Friday, December 6 when she was attacked by an unknown man in an incident that left her covered in blood.

She recalled: “I remember seeing a man go for my family member, so I stepped in the way, and just remember getting punched in the face.
“Next thing I know, I’m on the floor with a hole in my lip and I’m covered in blood.”

She added: “My jaw was busted and I had blood all over my top. I was still in shock for a while and had to be taken into another room to get cleaned up.”
One of Chloe’s other family members immediately reported the incident to Gwent Police, but by the time officers arrived at the scene, the attacker had fled, and is still yet to be identified by police.
